Course outline

From the National Architecture Conference 2018: Edge

James Grose is a principal of Bligh Voller Nield, based in Sydney. In this presentation, James describes how memories of the verandah and the tactile utilitarian architecture of the rural sheds from his early childhood in Bundaberg, Queensland informed his growth and pathway as an architect. James explains the basic concepts that he seeks to explore and express in each of his designs the visceral agrarian shed, and also the concept of the in-between.
