Designing and Building in Mexico
Full price: $67.00
From the 2013 Regional Architecture Conference: Spirit of Place
Jorge Gracia, architect and founder of Gracia Studio, challenges the conventional architecture in Tijuana, México, fostering a demand for inexpensive and design forward architecture, focusing on prefabrication. Projects like Encuentro Guadalupe and Todos Santos House illustrate the complete process of conceiving a project and actually building it, when challenges as design, structure, budgets, material availability, manpower, communication, engineering expertise, artwork and craftsmanship come together.
