Course outline

From the 2013 National Architecture Conference Lyons is a practice with a long-established history of designing medium to large public and commercial buildings in Australia. Working beyond modernist ideas about structural expression and material authenticity, the work of Lyons demonstrates the ways in which materiality and assembly can be used to achieve surface effects and patterns that communicate at the scale of the city and within the visual chaos of the multi-cultural metropolis.
