Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel: Effective Communication
Full price: $134.00
This presentation serves to introduce the new suite of Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel (AESS) documents to Architects. The documents reflect a more comprehensive approach to the design and specification of AESS, one that centers on a high level of communication between the Architect, Engineer and Fabricator.
The presentation will focus on the Matrix and Illustrated Guide as well as issues of welded versus bolted detailing and the importance of distance to view will be emphasized. The content will also address issues associated with finishes, corrosion and durability (paint, intumescent coatings, galvanizing) as well as the incorporation of curved members and other specialty products. Specific case studies will be incorporated to show the international successes of this approach.
