Carbon positive wood and wood products are enabling architects and designers to create buildings with low or zero (negative is possible!) carbon footprints.
This course is based on Fabiano Ximenes' presentation at WoodSolutions 2011 Seminars.

Fabiano has a Bachelor Degree in Forestry from Brazil (University of Brasília) and obtained his Masters Degree in Wood Science at the Australian National University.
He is the Program Leader of the “New Forests” Research Group within the NSW Dept. of Primary Industries..
Fabiano has been involved in a number of projects related to the life cycle of carbon in wood products for the least ten years, including greenhouse life cycle assessments of the use of wood and other materials in houses. In 2010 he attended the IPCC Expert meeting on Harvested Wood Products held in Geneva as an invited expert.
